It's been a rough couple of days for me, I found out that my mum was in a pretty bad car accident three days ago, well 4 days ago as of now. && some other rough situations have been going on like the job situation && just random other friend && family situations. My friends/neighbors really helped pick me up when I was down today && looked into job possibilities && such for me which really gave me a new sense of hope for humanity. I've just been struggling to find the good in people lately. I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt, I just slowly lost hope in people && I'm really not sure how that was possible, whatsoever.. Well I'm gonna pray && try to get some rest. I'll write more tom

Tues, June 12, 2012 [the beginning]
I can't even remember the last time I did a blog, so I figured why not do one about my whole Arizona adventure. I'm a little late seeing as how I got here, wow exactly a month ago, today! So it'll be a little hard to catch up on everything that's happened so far, but I will do my best..
May 12th- Sheena, dad, uncle bobby && I all hopped into the car and took off for the airport.. We checked in && did everything we needed to then ofc, went to the bar && had one last drink before I left the state. && OMGosh no wonder there was never anyone at the bar in the airport.. && thankfully the round was on uncle bobby haha. I had a pineapple && vodka, sheena had a budlight, && dad && uncle bobby had a shot.. Our total was like $45!!! No joke!! But the bartender was nice && let me plug my camera in behind the bar while we sat && waited for my flight. I drank my drink, faster than expected && we didn't wanna order anymore seeing those prices so I ran over to the book store && got 2 books for my flight. Then I went back to the bar, dad bought me a shot of patron for the flight && we went to the gates.. It was the saddest && hardest thing I've prob ever had to do.. I def shed a few tears, but didn't let them see me. Dad did too, he didn't think I saw!! So, off I go, to board a plane for my VERY first time, ALL alone.... Nah, it wasn't bad at all. Although I was kinda irritated the flight attendant told me to put my bag up above seats in the front of the plane when I was more towards the rear of the plane, that def made me nervous. But thankfully I got seated next to this wonderful older man, Jim && his wife was across the aisle, they fly frequently && he answered all my questions && then some on the plane. He pointed out various geography that we could see. Ofc, I took 100+ pics just out of my window (: Before we landed, Jim hand drew me a map of Arizona && all the spots I should stop && check out because I told him I was passionate about photography. I couldn't believe how good he drew this map, just from off the top of his head. After that, we landed, Jim && his wife lead me threw the airport && helped me get to my cousin, && then, we were off!!
Only took like 5/10 minutes to get from the airport to our apartment, I was soooo excited to see our new little place!! We pull up, walk to our door, && ........our key gets stuck in the deadbolt.... No joke. Here I am dressed like I'm still in WI, with my luggage && purse, drenched in sweat trying to get her key outta the deadbolt.. We ended up having to call maintenance && they had to remove the deadbolt and get the key out. It was one of those cute keys that said home sweet home on it that she just had made, but because of the heat and such it got stuck. So after like half an hour of that, we finally got in! It's a little one bedroom, but it's perfect for her && I. We are so close anyway, all we need is a one bedroom. I got my stuff unpacked, then we were off to walk around and adventure outside, we stopped at our new pool && hot tub, the tennis court, the full sized basketball court, && the half sized basketball court, then to the little play ground. After our little tour that we took ourselves on, she took me over to Dan && the boys house to show me around there. I absolutely loved everything about Arizona. This place is breath taking, the scenery is unbelievable. It's soo unreal to walk outside of our apartment && see 2 different mountain ranges.
The first couple of weeks I just got settled in, and got used to everything out here. Met, Heather, a neighbor at our apartment complex && she introduced me to like everyone here, so that was good && now I def feel like part of this little community. That's pretty much all that's happened other than me going shopping && getting a much needed upgrade on my shirts && I had an interview at globaltranz a week ago && am waiting to hear back (: I'll write more later, I'm gonna get ready to workout because as soon as shawnah gets home we are going to our gym.
